Our sincere sympathy to the Cunningham Family. We have just learned of George's passing. May he rest in peace. We got to know him as our Linton quarry consultant. His knowledge and guidance in setting up the quarry agreement was invaluable. We found him to be a true gentleman with a great sense of humour and smile that lit up his face. We will always remember him with much gratitude and respect. Kind regards from the Tootell Family.

I know how you all feel and there really isn’t anything one can say to alleviate the pain.
I have many many fond memories of Uncle George and was most impressed as a young fella to be taken to see Cardigan Bay in the flesh
He was always happy and smiling and I know that he will be reunited with Dad and his brothers up there.
Being in Aussie I have not seen family much but do think about everyone all the time and Facebook helps
Much love to my Uncle and to all the family

Dear Aunty Karen, Garry, Sharon, Bryce, Daniel and Angelina, Richard, Leanne, Michael and Nicky and your respective partners- and all your kids- I’m so sad to hear about the passing of Uncle George- it is a huge loss. Like all the Cunningham
Boys - he was a strong and proud kiwi husband snd Father. He had the most awesome sense of humour, such a positive attitude to life and a smile that lit up a whole room. In my memories, he always seemed happy, he always seemed to be laughing. He was always lovely company- and I looked up to him like I did all the Uncles! I’m so grateful for how beautifully he spoke at Dad’s funeral- through him I learned things about Dad that I hadn’t even known! I know how much you are all going to miss him, because I know how much I miss Dad and it never gets easier! But Uncle George lived the BEST life- he and Aunty Karen traveled so much together and different combinations of your family travelled so much too that he must have almost covered everywhere in the world that was worth visiting! I have many many great memories of visiting you guys, mostly when we were all young kids, but your place was always fun. I’m glad he was surrounded by the family at the end. I hope he is already playing a very competitive game of cricket with that set of stumps, bat and ball Dad always told me they got for Christmas as young boys, and is about to hit a few six’s with Dad, Uncle Tom, and Uncle Ken!!
All my love and my deepest sympathies to all of you! From Andrea, Harmony and Jordan. Xx

Dear Karen, Nicky, Richard & Family,
Very sad George is not with us anymore. We have great memories of our times together. Love lives in each memory and all the happiness they have brought. He always kept in touch with us by phone calls from Manama on Sundays and it was great to hear his jolly voice. We had our best holiday in NewZealand when he drove us to see the whole of north Island. We spent a month driving around with Him and Karen. We also had the best time with both George and Karen when they visited us twice to Ottawa. We also met him in London, U.K. and shared our tour with Shobha, our niece. She told me that he always sent her Birthday Wishes.
Our friendship started on a bus tour by Trafalgar to see Europe. The best advice which he gave us started our friendship. He had seen us waiting in long queues to get lunch at the bus lunch stops. He told us that to make an extra sandwich when having breakfast at each hotel stop plus apples and carry in handbag!!!!
We'll miss him. He's at Peace now.
Rest In Peace!

My dear Aunty Karen and Family
How blessed were we to have Uncle George in our family, from our visits to you all in Manuwera to summers at ours in Taupo. I loved Uncle George's visits to our home when he was traveling bringing us cheese and eggs! Even after moving to Australia, we still saw you so often, I remember you taking us to the races and trying to explain to me trifectas and quinellas. Uncle George, you always had a smile to light up the room and a story or memory to share with me, a wonderful man and a true gentleman, you will be sadly missed. Three cheers to you Uncle George, sending my love and condolences to you all xoxo

Karen and Family,
We are very saddened by the loss of such a wonderful, caring and loved man. We are thankful for our friendship over the years. It all started in a Cabbage Patch. We enjoyed and treasure the memories of the many visits along with our cruise to Alaska. I am sure my parents were waiting for George in heaven. Rest in Peace Dear Friend. GOD BLESS YOU. Our Prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
