Loved husband of the late Te Maari Barton (née Wainohu). Son of the late Tame Poutukua Ngarua Kopuera Barton and Bella Tawhia Uerata Barton, and of Rita and Hughbert. Brother of the late Winifred, Roha, Betty, Juliana, Tu Whainga, Ponui, Wahawaha and Jack Peta and of Alice & Mike Nikora and Owen. Father of Lillian (deceased), Hori and Rebecca, as well as Jules, Michael and Bronwyn. Nana Pop, Koro and Uncle to his many mokopuna, nieces and nephews.
You live on in our memories.
A service for Hori will be held at 11.00am on 5 October 2022, at The Founders Lounge Chapel, 117 Rickit Street, Taupo, followed by private cremation.

Everytime I saw you, you would play the tape of me and Lili singing and dancing the night away to Telethon. Aunty and nana would tell us to settle down but you would start singing and off we would go again. Another shining light has left us but we take comfort in the knowledge you are reunited with much loved family and friends. Lots of love uncle George xx
