Frederick Reeve (Fred):
(formerly of Pillans Road, Tauranga). Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on the 24 February 2018; in his 86th year. A bravely fought battle finally over. Soulmate of Annette, loving father and father-in-law of Bronwyn and Graham, Lynda and Mark, Andrea and Mark, Stuart and Yvette. Treasured Grandpy of Wendy, Damian, Paul, Chloe, Leah, Joseph, Lucinda, Jessica, Reeve, Shelley and Gary. Much loved great-grandpy to 18 grandchildren. Many thanks to Dr Evelyn Gerrish, Dr Murray Hunt, Tauranga Hospice staff and Hamilton Hospice staff for their loving care of Dad. A service to celebrate Fred's life will be held at Holy Trinity Church, 215 Devonport Road, Tauranga, at 11.00am, Friday 2 March 2018 followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to Waipuna Hospice, Tauranga would be appreciated and may be left at the service. All communications to the Wright family, c/- Pellows, PO Box 4449, Hamilton.

Dear Papa,
Our Father Kept A Garden
Our Father kept a garden.
A garden of the heart;
He planted all the good things,
That gave our lives their start.
He turned us to the sunshine,
And encouraged us to dream:
Fostering and nurturing
The seeds of self-esteem.

He protected us enough;
But not too much because he knew

Fred was a very valued member of the Tauranga Fuchsia Group for many years. I can remember my late husband, Cyril Guillard and Fred having long and meaningful discussions about fuchsia flowers and also the grocery trade.
Fred was enthusiastic about the growing of fuchsias as "standards" and had several pots of beautiful fuchsias at their family home in Pillans Point.

Wright Frederick (Fred) Reeve passed away 24 February 2018. Loved friend of Judith Wright (Auckland), uncle of Glenn and Pauline Wright (Auckland) and Nicci Warren-Wright and Sean Warren (Perth) and great uncle of William Wright (London).
