We are sorry to hear of the passing of George. I have a lovely memory of talking to him at the Te Pahu School Centenial. We also visited George and Margaret at Waihi when our children were little as then and to this day, we still holiday at Waihi Beach every summer. I'm sorry we are unable to attend the funeral, due to work commitments. We hope the service goes well. Kind regards Paula (nee Adams) and Murray Hollinshead. (Neil and Trisha Adams' daughter).

My condolences to the family of the father of a former Varsity tutor of mine, an opponent at the barricades and an adversary in parliament where her leadership and courage as the first female to be installed Prime Minister via the ballot box - were achievements to be worn as a badge of pride by Mr Clark - achievements perhaps only exceeded by 104 years.

With deepest sympathy in the loss of your Father George and that he has had a great long life. As a neighbour I invited him for tea when Margaret was away but he couldn't come as his famous daughter Helen was ringing him. Great friend to my family and also he liked walking the beach. You will all miss him.
