Frank APPLETON Obituary
Bob passed away peacefully at Matamata Country Lodge on Friday 26 December 2025 age 87. Dearly beloved husband of Doreen for 64 years. Dearly loved and proud father and father-in-law of Rob (deceased) and Ana, Trish and Graeme, Charlie and Lena, Carole and Vic (deceased). Proud poppa Bob of Angus, Kate, Grace, Nathan and Shaun, Benjamin and Emelia, Jonathan and Georgia May. Special great poppa Bob of Levi, John, Thilde and Timothy. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Dian and Walter (deceased), Des (deceased) and Bernice. Loved by all his nephews and nieces.
Dearly love youngest son of Leslie and Rowey Appleton (Nee Fisher) of Opotiki, and friend to many. The family thank the Matamata Country Lodge for all their care and support Bob received during his time there. In accordance with Bob wishes a private cremation has taken place. All communications to the Appleton family c/- 10 Short St, Matamata.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Bob while he was in MCL and his wife Doreen and I was an HCA there I also have the pleasure of knowing their daughter & son in law Trish & Graeme for a great many years exceeding 25 + years.Condolences to you all
