Dearest Elaine and Genevieve. I am so sorry to learn about Ewart's passing. I have many memories of Ewart and all the help he gave when I was new to our common area of research. My thoughts are with you. Susan Tearle, Cambridge

Ewart, we were that special band, the foundation pupils of WHHS. After school we were there at Hamilton Teachers' Training College and after that, having been sent here & there, there in some remote place or other, we lost track of one another. I remember the exhilaration you expressed when you got your degree. You introduced me briefly to Elaine when we met up again at the school reunion. I was in Kawerau and, I think you said, you were in Piopio.
I was so saddened to hear of your passing and I know you will be sorely missed by Elaine and all your family. But, from what I've heard, boy, did you fit a lot into your life. Rest well now and be at peace. We will remember you: 'Honour & Wisdom' -- I think you have achieved both.

Vale old friend. Too many high school memories to mention. Sadly we lost touch. Condolences to your family whom regretably I never met.

I remember Mr Tearle from Morrinsville College in the 1970's - a really nice teacher who taught us Social Studies in 4th Form. Condolences to his family.
