Etevise (nee Nikolao) "Vise" KRAUSE

Etevise KRAUSE Obituary

29 April 1939 - 8 March 2026

2 Timothy 4:6-8 – "As for me, my life is already being poured away as a libation, the time has come for me to be gone. I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish".

It is with profound sadness that the Krause Aiga (Family) of Tokoroa announces the passing of an incredibly beloved wife, tina (mother), nana, great-nana, daughter, sister, aunty, cousin, loyal friend and confidante, mentor, teacher, and one formidable woman you rarely cross paths with. Vise's faith as a Catholic was exemplary and unwavering. Vise devoted herself equally, and unreservedly to her creator Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, to us her eight children, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, her beloved late-husband Charles (Charlie), cherished late mama and papa, and the partners of all her family members. She was a St Pius X Catholic Samoan Society founding member and contributed much to the Samoan people of Tokoroa. Vise selflessly advocated for vulnerable people of all ages to ensure they received the fundamental support they required – with dignity and mana! She was a staunch advocate for children lost to the foster system from the mid-1970s, throughout the 1980s and beyond.

Fa'afetai, Fa'afetai, Fa'afetai tele lava Mama – relish your rewards with our Saviour and King Jesus Christ, Mary our Mother, and our beloved departed you've pined to be with.

Vise's Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday 11 March 2026, 1.00pm at St Pius X Catholic Church, Cnrs. SH1 & Mossop Rd-Tokoroa. All communications re: Vise's farewell - direct to Viona-Malu Davis – 027 293 9785.
