Elva CARLEY Obituary
Elva Dorothy (nee Keayes):
Very peacefully on April 23 aged 93 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Rodney and mother to Michael and Karen, mother-in-law to Jo-Anne and John. Nana Elva to Anthony. Loved twin sister of the late June Passmore and big sister to Margaret Benge and their families. Born in 1929 in Lower Hutt and happy resident of Upper Hutt and St Joseph's parish for many years, Elva spent her last years in the wonderful care of the kind and compassionate staff of Fergusson rest home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St Vincent De Paul society. Elva's requiem mass will be held in St Joseph's Church, Upper Hutt, on Thursday, 27 April at 11am. All messages to the "Carley family" c/- PO Box 30-127 Lower Hutt, 5040.

I am unable to be with you on Thursday morning at St Jospeh's but will offer Mass for Elva tomorrow morning at Kilbirnie. Lovely memories of Elva during my years as assistant priest with Fr Soane Kaniseli and Fr Paul Darroch 1991-beg 1994 and faithful custodian with Rod of St Catherine's Church - Fr Bill Warwick
