Elizabeth passed away peacefully at her home on 22 November 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Cherished elder daughter of Arthur and Miriam Boswell. Dearly loved wife of the late Hugh Monckton. Much loved sister of Graham and Beryl, and Patricia and Ron. Adored mother of Lizzy and Joe, Geoff and Helen, and Roger. Treasured 'Nany' of her much loved only grandchild Catherine. Much loved Aunt of the Monckton, Boswell and Cantwell nieces and nephews. A private cremation has taken place in accordance with Elizabeth's wishes. A Memorial Service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held in the New Year. The details are to be notified. The Monckton Family acknowledge with heartfelt gratitude Dr Marty Lemberg and his medical staff, alongside the wonderful care of Tauranga Hospital, and Cherrywood Pharmacy. All of Elizabeth's lovely care givers, as well as the Waipuna Hospice team whose dedication enabled Elizabeth to slip away in her sleep at home as was her wish. The Monckton Family ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Waipuna Hospice in memory of Elizabeth.
