Edward DROMGOOL Obituary

Stu has crossed the finish line peacefully on Sunday, 8th February 2026, aged 90 years. Riding alongside him for an incredible 70 years was his devoted and much-loved wife, Daphne. Loved father and father-in-law of Stewart & Lyn, Neil, Michael & Lorenza, Susan, Shaun & Kellie, and the late Lynn. Proud and cherished Grandad and Great-Grandad to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A lifelong lover of the track, the crowd now stands as Stu lines up for his Final Race at Cambridge Raceway, Taylor Street, Cambridge on Friday, 13th of February 2026 at 12.00pm. All welcome to attend and farewell a true sportsman as he rides on. I cherish the memories I have of Stu & Daphne - on the golf course. Although Stu was not a great golfer - he both loved & despised the game & amused all of those around him with his tales and jokes ... and how he told them.

Dear Daphne and family. Our deepest condolences to you all. So sorry we missed the funeral we have just found out now. We have great memories of Stu at the Golf Club & RSA telling great stories and then driving him home and getting laden with fresh veges from the garden before we went home. RIP Stu Brett and Laureen
