Douglas SIDNEY Obituary

Douglas Arthur Sidney passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the age of 81. He was the dearly loved husband of Philipa and a much-respected stepfather to Andrew, Michael, and Nicholas. Douglas found immense joy in his role as a grandfather and was deeply loved by all his many step-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Douglas's life will be held at: Simply Funerals, 449 Te Rapa Road, Hamilton on Saturday, February 14th, at 3.00pm. I was very pleased to speak with Doug a few weeks ago, after a gap of about 45 years. We had a chance to reminisce about old mates, our time surfing and travelling to numerous breaks. Doug (known to us as Sid) became our unofficial photographer. Happy Times, Great Memories !!! Kevin.
