Dear Frank, Faye and family, such sad news about Doreen. She and Frank were wonderfully kind and helpful neighbours for many years, full of helpful advice for this neophyte gardener and always willing to lend a hand. Their back door was always open for a chat, cuppa and a piece of Doreen´s baking.
When they left Matangi Doreen gave me a stick and told me to "Just stick it in the ground. It will grow". I did as I was told (who wouldn´t when it was Doreen giving the instructions!) and the subsequent Compassion climbing rose thrives in the garden and the flowers fill my home with beauty and perfume. What a lovely way to remember a lovely, lovely lady. Love and hugs to Frank and to you all. Pam
