Donald JOHNSTON Obituary
Donald James (Don):
Passed away peacefully at St Kilda, Cambridge, on Sunday, 3 April 2022. Loved husband of Mavis. Loving father of Lynette (deceased) and Colin. Grandfather of Ben and Jacinda, Chris and Chontel, Jolene and Lewis. Great-grandfather of Paesyn and Paige. A special thank you to the staff at St Kilda for their wonderful care. A service for Don will be held in the Rosa Chapel, Tamihana Street, Matamata, on Thursday, 7 April 2022 at 11.00am, followed by the burial at the Matamata Cemetery. All communications to the Johnston family, c/- 6 Tamihana Street, Matamata.

Mavis, So sorry to hear of Don's death. I did not realize you had come back to the Waikato. Ernie & I visited you many times up North. Most of all I recall Don & Ernie playing rugby for Hinuera, oh, so many years ago. Ernie died last September after a long illness. Recall Don & Adrian Fittall working for my Dad & Mum, so many years ago too. Feel free to get my address from Watersons. Fond memories of all the Johnston families
