A real student and a fine friend

You were a top man, I have fond memories of you from when my dad, Happy Harry Parris was alive. He was a wonderful man, enjoy a bacardi buddy.

We will really miss the friendly and cheerful presence of Des in our neighbourhood. It was always very pleasant to stop and have a chat and laugh with Des when we were out for a walk. Our sincere condolences to Val and family. Hoping all the precious memories of Des give you all much comfort in the days ahead.

Sorry to see that Des has passed. That´s really sad.
He was a fantastic boss at Gilmours and I often thought of him, over the years.

Des, you were the best boss ever! Gilmour's days where you were a great boss and well remembered for your understanding and communication. A man with a sense of humor. Like most we lose contact over the years. We will never forget you. Our condolences go out to Val and the family.

Des, you bring back lovely memories of our schooling days at Kihikihi and later Te Awamutu. Not sure we were the best students but we all got on so well. Sad we loose contact as we move about , away and get older. Condolences to your family

We had lots of fun with Des and Val in the vintage car club and so many memories were made, our condolences go out to Val and the family
