Dawn MORTIMER Obituary
Our beloved Dawn passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, 13 May 2025. Treasured wife of Lyall. Much-loved mum of Chris and Brett, Ginny and Mark, Ange and Steve. Adored Nana Dawn to Emma and Mark, Hannah, Ben and Courtnie, Matthew, Tegan and Gracyn. Deeply loved by her great-grandchildren Leila, Arlo and August.
She will be missed beyond words.
A celebration of Dawn's life will be held in the Croft Centennial Chapel, 2 Osborne Place (off Queens Drive), Lower Hutt, on Monday 19th May 2025 at 1.00pm. Those unable to attend Dawn's service you can view the livestream through the Croft Funeral Home website.

I was so sad to hear of Dawn's passing. Dawn and I had been friends for over 40 years. I so enjoyed her company - whether it was a shopping trip in Wellington, going to a movie or lunch together to celebrate our birthdays. The dinners we had with our families were also enjoyed.
Dawn was a source of wisdom and guidance to her family - no matter which generation. It is great to see the strong bond between her three daughters which Dawn encouraged. Subsequent generations were also blessed to have had Dawn in their lives. Dawn was very proud of her grand children and great grand children.
Sadly we moved away to Nelson some 10 years ago and I really missed Dawn in those years. Good friends are hard to replace.
Our thought are with Chris, Ginny, Angie and their families. They have been wonderful in their support and care for Dawn. It is so sad that Dawn has gone but they were so blessed to have had her as a mother. Her wisdom and love will always be with them.
