On Friday, 18th April 2025, at Tokoroa Hospital. Aged 86 years. Much loved husband to Zita for 62 years. Loved Dad to the late Allan, Kevin and Kirsty, and Darren. Loved Poppa to grandchildren Julian, Shaye and Shaun. Loved Poppa to great-grandchildren Julzay, Kauri Rose, and Raven Robinson, Carillo and Daytona Silby.
"Much loved, never forgotten"
According to Dave's wishes, a private cremation has been held.

Such a privilege to have visited you in Waikato hospital and take some time to talk with you. You like the house out from your hospital window. I have fond memories as a child Uncle David eating wild mushrooms at your place until I made myself unwell, silly me. Also when we had a family wedding and I have a photo of me around 10 years old with you. My mum will miss her phone calls with you, much love as you have a rest now after a tough battle. Love to you aunty Zita and family, may your memories be a comfort and help you hold him in your hearts forever. xxx
