NICHOLSON, David John:
Peacefully on December 27th, 2014, at Hawkes Bay Regional Hospital after a long illness. Dearly loved husband of Carol and loved father and father-in-law of Michael and Cat, Sandie and Campbell Howlett, Malcolm and Donna. Loved granddad of James, Kieran, Caitlin, Jordan, Oliver and Alaina. In accordance with David's wishes a private service has been held. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Cranford Hospice and messages to the Nicholson family can be made Co/ - P.O. Box 8424, Havelock North 4157.

Dear Carol, Mike, Sandy, Malcolm & family, my heart breaks for you all - you are in my thoughts and prayers. I can't believe another good man has gone, another face from the hunting photos who isn't with us anymore. Pete would be devastated if he were still here. I'm so very sorry. Long will I remember Dave's even temperament and kindness to me growing up - he was a true gentleman. Take good care of each other.
