David LAYNE Obituary

Born Te Puke 17 July 1940. Passed peacefully at home surrounded with love, on Monday 8 April 2024, in his 84th year. Dearly loved Husband of Lizzie – Doreen (nee Young (Gillies)). Much loved & respected Dad & Father-in-law of Steven & Lucy, Rowie & Phil (dec), Bronwyn & Rolly, Rhonda (Dec) & Gordon. Loved Grandad of 10, Great-Grandad of 29. Loved Son of Philip and Rosie Layne, who whakapapa to Ngati Hinerangi Iwi, Hinerangi Tawhaki Marae Okauia, Loved Brother, Brother-in-law, Uncle and Friend to many.

You leave us with wonderful memories and will be sorely missed.

A Service for Dave will be held at the Chapel of Memories, 32 William Street, Huntly, (tomorrow) Thursday, 11 April at 12.30pm to be followed by a private cremation. All communications to the Layne Family C/- P O Box 147, Huntly 3740.
