Passed away peacefully at Waikato Hospital on 25 August 2025. David was born in the United Kingdom to George and Patricia Cox and had 5 siblings. He had 3 children, Gareth, Rachel and Hannah who he loved very much.

"Despite the distance he was an amazing, supportive father and will be dearly missed by his family."

A private cremation has been held.
