Born 23 December 1933, passed away Monday, 7 December, 2015; in her 82nd year. Formerly of Ngaruawahia, Tokoroa and Hamilton.

Dearly loved mother of Lea Martindale, Peter, and Kim Nelson. Mum-in-law of Paul Martindale, Dave Hobbs, Danette Vrijs, and Linda Halcombe. Loved Nana Betty of Michael, and Matthew Hobbs, Robert, Erin, and Koenraad Nelson, Juanita, and Sachin Sinha, and great-grandchildren Aryaman, and Avyaan Sinha. Loved wife of the late Bob Nelson, Frank McWha, and Snow Hatwell. Daughter of the late Percy and Aletha Schaare. Sister of Jim, and the late Ron, Naomi, and Murray. We wish to thank and acknowledge the staff of Trevellyn Resthome, Hospital Wing for their dedicated care and friendship of mum over the last 5 years. A service for Betty will be held in the Chapel of Trevellyn Resthome, 1340 Victoria Street, Hamilton on Friday, 18 December, 2015 at 10.30am. Thereafter private cremation.
