Sorry to read of Colleens passing. Lovely lady who was matron at Huntly maternity hospital up on the hill over looking Huntly for many years. Worked with her late husband Bill at Roger Gill & sons. Both Lovely people. RIP.

Special thoughts and condolences to David, my Karapiro rowing co-commentator for many years, and the wider family. I have happy memories of his kind and friendly mum Colleen - she and the late Bill shared historic Tuakau connections with my late father, which in his case related to his early life mid last century, and we shared some of his stories whenever we caught up - around the rowing cohort, of course.

So sad to read of Colleens passing. She was a wonderful support to me in a previous job role with the Catholic Cathedral. She was a truely inspiring woman who made fantastic contributions to the wider community here in Hamilton and the Waikato ...and to her church. She spoke often about how proud she was of her family and of the wonderful support they gave her. I cannot be there to celebrate a wonderful life but would like to send condolences to her family. We were blessed.
