I am from Te Kuiti born and raises but left in my earlier teens and grew up knowing who you were and how much of a awsome rugby player and All Black player you were. You have definitely done Te Kuiti proud and I am coming back home to pay my respects to you on your last journey tomorrow. King Country, Waikato, NZ, are proud to have you. Thank you for being you and loving our little town/community Te Kuiti. You will be immensely missed by your whanau and the community and in the rugby sector. Rest easy Sir Colin Meads.

To the Meads Family. Our sincere condolences to you on the passing of Colin. My husband grew up in the King Country and Colin was his idle whom he met at a golf function in Hamilton when Colin was the guest speaker. right up until my husband died 8 years ago he just loved him. It is wonderful that you shared Colin with NZ and he seemed to be a very humble man. God bless you all from the Holman Family in Hamilton.
