Codie Twiss Obituary

Codie Joe "CJ" Twiss, 34, of Fort Madison, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Born on October 26, 1991, CJ was truly one of a kind. He was a friend to everyone; the kind of person who could make you laugh no matter what kind of day you were having. With his big heart and easygoing nature, CJ was always willing to lend a hand and brighten someone's day. CJ attended Central Lee Schools, where he graduated with the Class of 2010. He enjoyed listening to loud music, spending time outdoors, and taking part in anything that brought people together. He loved going to movies and concerts, helping others, and volunteering every year at the Tri-State Rodeo and other organizations. He also enjoyed online gaming and had his own one-of-a-kind fashion that perfectly matched his fun, outgoing personality.
He will be deeply missed by his parents Kelly McIntyre and Roger Wixom, his daughter Shyann Twiss, bonus siblings, his grandfather Chuck Twiss, grandmothers Janet Staton and Betty Wixom, and by his aunts, uncles, many cousins, extended family, and countless friends who loved him dearly. CJ was preceded in death by his grandmother Erma Twiss, grandfather Francis Wixom, uncle Dewain Wixom and his aunt and uncle, Tina and Doug Haynes.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in CJ's honor may be directed to the family and may be sent to his mother, Kelly McIntyre, 1332 Ave G, Fort Madison, IA 52627. Online condolences to the Twiss family may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
