Claire Suzanne TONKS

Claire TONKS Obituary

Peacefully on 20 October 2023, surrounded by family and friends. Aged 86 years. Dearly loved wife of Eddie (deceased), mother of Murray and Carolyn, mother-in-law of Joanna, grandmother of Jacqueline (Robb), Cameron (Rachel) and Kyle (Rhiannon), great-grandmother of Isabelle, Grace, Wolfgang, Brady and Margaret. Sincere thanks to the medical staff and her daily carers. In lieu of flowers donations to Diabetes New Zealand online would be appreciated at Diabetes New Zealand. Messages to the Tonks family may be made in Claire's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz. A livestream of the service may also be accessed here. A service to celebrate Claire's life will be held in St John's Anglican Church, 18 Bassett Road, Johnsonville, Wellington, on Tuesday 7 November 2023 at 2.30pm.

Mike and I are so Sad to hear of Claire´s Passing. We have very fond Memories of both Claire and Eddie in Turangi. Dinners we shared, BBQ´s, our Rissole Off Competition so many Laughs along the way. Rest in Peace Claire, you are reunited with Eddie now. Condolences to All the Family, our thoughts are with you. Roz & Mike Tucker
