Sadly passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, in her 85th year, after a short illness. Much loved daughter, mum, nana, great-nana, aunty, sister, cousin, and friend to many. Adored wife of the late Dick Cowell. Dearly loved mother of Mark & Johanne Spring, Julie-Ann & Graham Hallett, Greg & Jen Spring, Kev & Sue Spring, Lisa & Dean Wilton, and Anna & Mike Morris. Much cherished nana of Adam & Leah Hallett, Mel & Ben Brown, and Sean Hallett & Aleisha Crowder; Jess Spring & Nick Doyle, James Spring & Shanila Paiva, and Hannah Spring; Ruby Spring & Jake Farrow, and Joel Spring; Olivia & Sophie Morris; and Nick & Harry Wilton, and great-nana of Lily, Lennox & Lola Farrow. Daughter of the late Winston and Jean McCarthy, sister of Lloyd & Sue, and Viv & Pam McCarthy. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Christine's life will be held at St Mary Immaculate Church, Elizabeth Street, Tauranga, on Saturday 20 July from 10.30am until 12.00pm.
