Cathleen GARNER Obituary

On 25th August 2024, in her 95th year, passed away peacefully at Summerset Rototuna Care Facility Hamilton after a long illness. Much loved wife of the late Don, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Christine and Phil, Lorraine (Brisbane) and Diane (Norfolk Island). Loved Nana Cath of Grant (deceased) Megan, Nick and Shannon, Nicole and Joel (Sydney) much loved great-Nana Cath of Jack (Wagga Wagga) Kyla, Tom, Brooke, Max, Sophie, Bodhi and Reeve. We would like to thank the team at Summerset for their love kindness and care shown to mum, it has been exceptional. Cath was a much loved piano teacher in Hamilton for over 65 years who inspired so many pupils with her love of music, and was proud to be awarded a distinguished member of the New Zealand Registered Music Teachers. We cherish Cath deeply and are thankful for the amazing memories. A strong wonderful inspirational lady finally at rest. At Cath's request a private cremation has taken place and the family will gather for a celebration of her life when family return from overseas.
