Terry Dobson Obituary

February 4, 1950 - August 31, 2022

After a courageous battle with COPD and with great sadness, the family of Terry Dobson wish to announce his passing on August 31, 2022. Preceding him in death are his parents Stanley and Elsie Dobson. He will be missed by his wife, Dale, of 50 years, his children Paul (Sara) and Andy (Danielle) and his grandchildren Hayden and Carter. Terry will lovingly be remembered by his sister, Patricia Secord (late Walter), brothers, Glenn (Susan), Craig (Linda) and Dale (Christine) and the late Barry (Heather). Dear brother-in-law to Gail Henderson, Jean Steel (Mark) and Thomas Macdonald. Much loved Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Cherished Godfather to Percy Scott, Kevin Dobson and Caeleigh Henderson. Terry was a former employee of Stelco for 38 years. His work relationships continued well after his retirement and his passion for fishing created many treasured experiences with family and friends. His love of music gave way to great personal enjoyment playing his guitar. Terry's sense of humour and enormous smile entertained everyone he encountered. His antics were legendary and those who knew him have their own stories to tell. Family gatherings, nature, playing cards and his appreciation for car racing, especially F1, brought him much joy. Special thanks to Gail Henderson, Don and Shannon Henderson, Nancy and Peter Turner, Compass (North Hamilton), Marion Frame R.N. and Home Care Staff, Drs. Raghavan, Taniguchi, Caronzo and St. Peter's Hospital 3 West (Jenna and Ashley) for their patience, kindness, generosity and incredible support. Resting at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E, Hamilton on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, September 5, 2022 at 1 p.m. The service is available to watch through livestream on the funeral home website.
