Taffy, weve laughed, weve sung,I've cried, you've shared your chocolate watching TV in the snug.weve shared so many pot luck dinners.with you always providing the mushy peas! And potatoes from your large and productive vege garden .I've tolerated Kylie Minogue, you've tolerated my moaning of lack of large snapper. You even lent me Stumpy which was the highest honour, and I disappointed you by still coming back with just pannies.! New Years Honours saw your name at the top of the list.Sir Brian aka Taffy Williams services to happiness and sunshine, mateship, fishing, laughter, being a loyal and loving dad and Dee and friend to all,.and being consistent with your exercise regime!..your nightly walk to Thorntons Bay!.oh Taffy Nurse Emmanual just couldn't fix this problem but I admired your dignity and tenacity you showed in the face of this hated disease.Park Lane and indeed Te Puru camp has lost a massively loved and admired man and I wish you a peaceful rest with tight lines always.our memories will always remain in my heart and you will never be forgotten.

Taffy was a good friend, neighbour and 'camp mother' always willing to help out and offer some advice. The snapper up the Firth will be a lot safer now as he always seemed to catch his share. I have a lost my fishing mate and will miss our walks to "Thornton's Bay" for a cold one or 2!

We watched you deal with your "bit of rust" until the end with dignity not wanting to make a fuss, your legacy will live on for many a year!

One amazing bloke...always welcoming with a great smile and the offer of a beer. A guy who I believe never aged... was just always Brian, so youthful and passionate about his family and fishing. We met when I was around 8 years old at a caravan park originally known as The Boomerang Motor Camp in Te Puru Thames.....my parents, Brian and his family ventured to every summer. I was lucky enough to spend time as an adult on Brian's boat Gnagfrey(I may have spelt it wrong) and fish with the adventurer himself. The last memory I have spending time with the Mighty Welshman was when I met up with him at a local shopping centre, told him I'd just found two $50 notes folded up and he said to me "Wanna go halves?" That was Brian. My sincerest condolences to his family...a true legend he is and he will be missed so very much. Keep fishing me ol mate. Bundy

A wonderful, cheerful bloke who loved his family, fishing and a cold Waikato. Forever sociable with a fantastic sense of humour and always a welcoming smile. Taken far too soon me ol' mate.... Ive known you since I was around 8 years old when our families met at what was known then as Boomerang Motorcamp in Te Puru. Was able to spend time with you as an adult when I went fishing with you on your boat Gnagfrey(not sure if I spelt it correctly) and remember our last meeting when I'd found two $50 notes at an unnamed shopping centre and you asking if "I wanted to go halves" . I'm sorry I didn't get to catch up with you for one last beer mate.

Taff, you wonderful proud Welsh man , a true Chiefs supporter and it even showed by the beer you drank Waikato . We met you about 13 years ago at Te puru camp, park lane and you were always a fun, happy person who welcomed everyone and were proud to show us your catch of the day and you usually got your limit in a short space of time . You were a lucky person and the bowling club raffles often came your way. A accomplished cook and gardener . A proud father and grandad you will be missed by many. Park lane and Te puru will not be the same without you. RIP dear friend.
