Have only just heard of Barry´s passing. I first met Barry when Marist played Tech Old boys all those years ago and our paths have crossed during our lives in Hamilton, always enjoyed his company. Our sincere thoughts to Di and family.

My thoughts are with Di & family at this sad time. I remember Barry as a fun person, always welcoming & friendly. We first met through the Ski Club but later his Jeremy & our Matthew became great friends & frequently stayed at each other's respective family holiday homes.
My sincere sympathy to you all.

I met Barryin the 1960s when we both played in a pretty wild social rugby team called the Sundowners.
It soon became apparent that he was ` action man´ and there was duck shooting, squash, tennis, skiing etc.
Particularly there was fishing and I questioned his lineage to a line of Irish poachers while fishing at Taupo.
Then there was Te Akau STH/Horongarara, on the Raglan harbour from early 1970s where there are lots of happy memories.
He was very successful as Brian Perry´s right hand man and this benefited our community .
Barry was a charming, challenging and wise man who added a lot to my life.
With great sympathy to Di and family

First met Barry during the Brian Perry Group days as their insurance broker & after a modest inheritance from my mother happened to enquire where I could invest in a piece of land. Barry pointed me to Te Akau which resulted in 10E Ryan Rd section purchase & eventually our holiday cottage near his own. We became firm friends & valued our association with him & Diane. Rest in peace & condolences to the family.
