I was lucky to have known Barbara during her time as MP for New Zealand First. She worked so hard for the people and the causes that she represented and was always so positive. Barbara was a popular person among those she worked with and I am so sorry to learn of her passing. My condolences go to her family, she will be missed.

Deepest condolences to the family. Barbara was a very warm, sincere and collegial Parliamentarian and I enjoyed our regular interactions, even when we were on opposing sides in debates and consideration of issues. She had a lovely, caring nature.

Barbara was a supportive colleague and friend during our time working together with the children in Rata Class at Te Miro School. Barbara was very patient, an attentive listener, and always encouraging the children to do their best. Her lovely smile lit up our day. My sincere condolences to her family for their sad loss.
