Anne MATHESON Obituary

MATHESON, Anne Elizabeth It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Anne Elizabeth (Black) Matheson on Christmas Eve, 2018. Born in Guelph on September 22, 1951, Anne was the much-loved wife of Michael for 45 years, and mother of Andrew (Kim) Matheson, and Lee (Dan) Puddephatt. Cherished grandmother of Tyson, Tegan, Tayla, and Tanner Matheson, and Olivia and Nola Puddephatt. Sister to John Black of Guelph, and Lynne Hatfield of Springhill, Nova Scotia. Anne had a caring and generous spirit. She loved her family, adored her grandchildren, and made friends with everyone she met. She also had a lifelong love of learning. Anne attended the University of Guelph, numerous Continuing Education courses, and became a Realtor later in life. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of St. Joseph's Health Centre for their compassion and support throughout her stay. Family and friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Health Centre would be appreciated; donation cards are available at the funeral home. A tree will be planted in memory of Anne E. Matheson in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:30 pm.
