Anne BURGESS Obituary
With sadness, we announce the passing of Anne Heather Burgess, aged 84. Born in Hamilton to Mary & Tony Burgess, Anne was one of nine siblings: Ron, May, Ken, Tony, Tui, Jim, Mary, and Peter. She was married to David Whelan. Loving mother and mother-in-law to Andrew Whelan, Cathie, Brenda (deceased), Sarah & David Lamb, Kate & Trent Rapana. Anne was a proud grandmother of Joshua (deceased), Leearna & Nathaniel, Georgia, Mitchell, Taniora, and Nikora. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, kindness, and deep devotion to family.

A service for Anne will be held at St Columba's Church, 50 Rifle Range Road, Frankton, Hamilton, at 10.30am on Monday 28 July 2025, followed by a gathering at the Marist Clubrooms,147 Old Farm Road, Hamilton East, Hamilton. 'Aunty' Anne has long been a part of our lives and we will all miss her dearly. Watching the rugby games at the Zimmerman's were a weekly event for her and Aunty Tui and Uncle Fred.
