My condolences to you Sheryl and your family. Andy was a really fun guy and I remember when he was working for my dad on our dairy farm at Seddon Road, Waihou.
I used to play tricks on him and he took it all in good faith. A lovely man. Margaret (West).

Our deepest sympathies from the Cookson family. Andy was my rugby coach when I was a boy and always told me I would be an All Black. Although that didn't happen, I am extremely grateful for the absolute belief he had in me and my future. I kind and humble man.

We were indeed sorry to hear of Andy's passing ...
We always found Andy to be a true gentleman, softly spoken, lovely smile and always ...yes always courteous. I (Cliff) always enjoyed our chats in the shop where we could put the world to rights. His commitment and service to his community (Waihou/Te Aroha) meant that he has left us with us knowing that he owes his community no more ... in fact the community owes him and will benefit from his toils for years to come.
Sheryl and your extended family, our thoughts are with you.

It is with great sadness that I express the great sense of loss around our whole Union of the passing of Andy. As a rugby lover firstly for the Waihou club and as well as the Thames Valley Union Andy was without doubt an amazing player, club man, Committee man, Union supporter and life member. He will be greatly missed by all. Lots of love. Ross and Judy Cooper and the TVRFU.
