Just wondering if Alice family had the shoes in Te Kuit Sorry to read your loss

I was saddened to hear of Alice's passing. Pat and Alice hosted me as a Rotary exchange student over 30 years ago. Pat and Alice were some of the warmest people I have ever met. They opened their hearts and home to me and made my exchange experience truly life changing. Alice taught me much about many things, but learning in the kitchen was a highlight. This included how to cut onions so thin you could see through them, warming the cup before you made tea, making soup from what you had in the fridge and how to fry bananas! I also learned that you must spend a lot of time looking for the right gift for someone. I will miss her sense of humour and big smile and calling be darling. Condolences to the family.
