Osu, Sempai Allan. Words escape me brother, but I do know that the NZ Kyokushin whanau was and is the more richer for having you as a friend, mentor and just a good all round bugger. Give Oyama Sosai a big KIAORA! when you catch up with him.....OSU!!

Dearest Alan, I found the following poem, which sums it all up nicely. You will always be in my pocket (heart) and be one of my most prized treasures with lots of beautiful memories.
Love you forever

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dearest Alan, I remember so much about the first time I came to meet your family with Michael, when we first married. You greeted me with that huge smile and hug so tight I thought I might break , but I loved it and you made me feel like I was really part of the family. There has been a dark cloud hanging over my heart since I herd of your passing. I know my boys and their families will be there to support your lovely family on the day of your memorial. I am sorry I cannot be there in person. Love and RIP Dear Alan.
