Memories remain of a warm, steadfast man who lived holding fast to the values of loyalty and integrity. Thanks, Pete for giving us the opportunity to be kinder, more thoughtful people. A private cremation held Wednesday 19th July 2017 a paddle out and celebration of the life and times of our hunter-gatherer to be held at his Turangawaewae – Waiotahe beach, at a time to be designated. In lieu of flowers, consider becoming a blood donor. Pete would be chuffed if people were inspired by his lifelong dedication to giving blood. Coastguard Opotiki
is another cause that was meaningful to Pete (Westpac acct. 03 1546 0001579 00
for donations). All communications to the Wootton family C/- PO Box 5523, Frankton, Hamilton 3242.
