The Hamilton Boys' High School community remembers Malcolm with great fondness. He was a special and very caring man, and we were fortunate to have him in our school family through his time as a reliever.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.

This is such a great loss not only for Waikato Tennis but also for the Cargo dynasty.
He was a truly wonderful man and a great support and inspiration to me during my short time at Waikato Tennis and beyond for my family certainly became firm friends of the Cargos, our Kiwi family, in the ensuing years.
I loved him very much and held him in such high regard. I learned so much from him in so many ways and I shall miss him immensely.
We all send our heartfelt condolences to Sue and the very special members of the Cargo family. Malcolm has left his legacy behind and for that we shall always be grateful.

Great teachers teach more by who they are rather than what they say. Clutch Cargo, it may be 40 years, but your encouragement and compassion has stayed with me. You will be missed
