So sorry to read of the loss of Barrie. Dad and Mum (Tip and Thelma) always spoke highly of Barrie and he always spoke to me when he saw me and I enjoyed his company and good humour, a very nice and well respected man. Sorry I will not be able to be at the funeral as I am away overseas at the moment. Fraser Muller.

Condolences Nerolie and family.
Barry was so highly thought of in the 1960's when we first met at E.C.Day Auctioneers in Bryce St. There he was the budding auctioneer, and then we moved on to A.B. Donald Ltd - where Barry was such a great support to the office staff.
You were always a special Guy and an real influence on my younger years. RIP Barrie.

My sincere condolences to Nerolie and family.
Barrie was hugely respected by all his buyers during his time as head of Turners. Everyone who mentioned his name had nothing but praise for him.
Barrie's nickname for my late husband Keith was 'Turkey'and their friendship
carried on long after their retirement.
Nerolie, after 68 years together there will be heartache, so many lovely memories.
I will always remember Barrie, a good man, with much fondness.
