Ann CUMPSTONE Obituary

CUMPSTONE, Ann Marie:
Passed away peacefully at home on 10th October 2018, in the presence of her family. Ann fought her battle so hard, right until the end - a feisty lady whose spirit never gave up, her laughter, wit and compassion will be so missed. 57 years on this earth was not long enough for us. Much loved wife and partner of John. Courageous mum and mother-in-law of Kris and Leah, Libby, and Catherine and Matt. Much loved nana of Finn and Tommy. Daughter of Claude and Louise Cole, and daughter-in-law of Artie and Dawn.
"There once was a woman named Ann
Whose answer was always 'Yes, I can'.
The cancer did beat her, and, alas, we couldn't keep her,
And no better could be found on this land."
By Ann's request, a private cremation has been held. We would like to thank family and friends for their support, camaraderie, anecdotes and help over this long journey. We would also like to thank the Waikato District Nurses, especially Karen, for their wonderful care.
"May you rest forever in peace. We miss you already."
All communications to the Cumpstone family, PO Box 137, Te Awamutu 3840.

Dear Ann. You were a wonderful friend and mate through some early motherhood years. I'll never forget your kind heart, hearty laughter and the way you could make a joke of 'everything'! The get-away weekends to Curio Bay with our young children were gems. Kris, Libby and Catherine, Kate and Brendon loved your company. So sad for you all. Deepest sympathy to John and your family. A lovely lady at rest.

I had hoped we would both get through our cancer troubles and live to a ripe old age.But it wasn't to be . You and your families friendship will always be valued by us.

We are very sorry for your loss, and very saddened to hear of Ann's passing. We knew her to be not only the best boss but also one of the kindest and most charitable people we know. She will be missed by so many. Our deepest sympathy goes out to her family, with love,
